film friday: L I F E

I will try NOT to spoil the movie for anyone and I won't say what it is about, not because I don't know how to begin...what I will say is that everything is exciting about it. actors are amazing, even and especially the kids, the costumes are perfect and the photography beyond beautiful. I keep asking myself how a person can direct such a great piece of art. how, Malick?
on another note, I have a soft spot for Brad Pitt, not only because he is a gorgeous man but also because he is a huge talented actor who always gives himself completely to the part he plays. this time I wasn't familiar with his co-star Jessica Chastain, but she nailed it and I am now officially a fan of the 30 year-old too. pretty, soft and bold persona.
Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life is basically about us and the "two ways through life: the way of nature, and the way of Grace."
magic and dreamy imagery hold some valuable quotes' hands, worth thinking of and probably eye-opening

-"The only way to be happy is to love"- (Mrs. O'Brien)

-"You can't say I can't; say I am having trouble or I am not done yet."- (Mr. O'Brien)

and I could say so much more about this, or nothing at all could make sense too. sight
